Bakery Researcher

To reach our Goal of opening a Bakery with a Communal Oven by January 2011, Sour Flour is recruiting Volunteer Researchers. Researchers will help gather information crucial to making informed decisions about our location, our market, and our oven. Sources of funding will also be a key aspect of research. See below for a description of the position.

Bakery Researcher(s): This person is responsible for initial research needed towards establishing a commercial bakery location.

Duties Include:

  1. Market research for Business Plan
  2. Researching potential sites
  3. Grant Research
  4. Loan research
  5. Oven Research
  6. Permit/Licensing research
  7. Attend Bagel Monday Weekly Reviews to report back on progress.
