Bread Education Program Coordinator

We have launched our goal of mentoring 100 Sour Flour Bakers, and are recruiting a volunteer Bread Education Program Coordinator to help us make this a reality! We need your help to get the word out about Bread Trainings and the Bread Education Program, to help coordinate Trainings, and to follow up with Trainees who have enrolled in the program. Join us in bringing the Art and Science of baking into home kitchens all over San Francisco! See below for a description of the Bread Education Program Coordinator.

Description: Bread Education Program Coordinator

Coordinates Bread Trainings and manages bread trainers. Works to promote Sour Flour’s Bread Education Program and recruit more Sour Flour Trainees. This person possesses acute organizational skills and is passionate about the educational component to Sour Flour’s mission.

Goals of Bread Education:

Long Term: To educate the community about the art and science of baking using the Sour Flour method, while instilling our philosophy of neighborly reciprocity.
Year-long goal: To Mentor 100 Sour Flour bakers

Duties Include:

  1. Draft the Bread Training Schedule and post at least 3 months in advance.
  2. Coordinate Bread Trainings dates, locations, Trainers and Trainees.
  3. Timely follow up to all those who express interest in receiving Bread Training and after trainings to see how their experience was.
  4. Participates in Bread Education Program
  5. Attend Bagel Monday Weekly Reviews and report back on progress of Bread Education
  6. Promote Bread Education through sourflour.org and blog posts, events, press, etc. with a goal to recruit more trainees
